The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) recognized the latest graduates of the Naval War College (NWC) Monterey partnership with the school for Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) during a brief ceremony at King Hall, Dec. 8. Through this partnership between the two institutions, 6,620 officers have earned their JPME Phase I certification since the program’s inception in September 1999.
Dr. Robert Tomlinson, Associate Dean and Chairman of NWC at NPS, presided over the ceremony, while Dr. Stephen Mariano, Provost of the Naval War College, served as guest speaker. A total of 102 U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force officers earned a NWC Command and Staff diploma with JPME Phase I certification during the Fall Quarter of the 2022 academic year.
